I can relate, yes it is true. It's not the smell of the shampoo either. It literally changes something on your scalp so sweat (I think) smells foul. The itching it stopped, the blisters it stopped, the dandruff gone after 2 washes, scalp even felt fresh like minty kinda, but at the cost of stinky stinky hair.
Not so sure about the androgenic alopecia. But maybe hygiene itself may have a factor. Too much ketoconazole medicated shampoo itself can damage the scalp. So use it wisely according the proper direction for the treatment period. For maintenance you can use it like 1/2 times a week or so.
